Clean
August 19, 2008 03:06 PM PDT

In our last lesson in this series, we examined the ways in which we as Christians need to show the children of the world that we care about them. They are important, and they are our future. If we are not showing them how much they mean to us, then our future will begin to look very dark.
In this lesson, we change our focus to adults. There are millions of young adults (18-25) families, and elderly aged adults who are looking for someone to care for them. That someone should be you and I. Join me as we consider the need for the church to care for adults.

Names are important. How you are known by those around you is important. However, how you are known by God is even more important.
In this lesson, we will examine what your friends and family call you, then we will examine what it is that your Father in Heaven calls you. Join us as we ask the question: "What's in a name? What do they call you?"

One of the major problems, which we face in the church today, is that we practice friendliness, yet we play at caring. Seemingly we have forgotten the simple lesson that people want someone to care for them.
Beginning in this lesson, and for the next four lessons, which I will be presenting, we will attempt to learn ways in which we can C.A.R.E for those around us. In this first lesson, we will be examining the way in which we must learn to show the children of today that we care for them, and about them. Join me as we recall to mind how to C.A.R.E.

I'm certain at some point or another, that you have heard the expression, "Knowing and doing are two different things." Simply put, this statement is attempting to convey the idea that just because you know something is right, that doesn't mean that you always do it.
In this lesson, Brother John Griffis explores the passage found in First Kings 22: 1-12. In these 12 verses, we see illustrated for us, the way in which some know the right thing to do, but they still often choose to do that which best serves themselves. Please click on the play button, and join us as we examine the subject, "Knowing and Doing."

Each and every day, there is an enemy, which we all face. The name of this adversary is Satan. Now, there are many weapons, which he can and does use against us. Envy, hatred, malice, and temptation are just a few of his dangerous tools. However, his most dangerous, and frequently used weapon is the lies, which he tells.
In this lesson, Brother John Griffis explores some of the lies, which Satan attempts to use against us, in order to lead us away from God. Please press play, and examine with us Satan, the Father of Lies.
